MARINE BEACON EQUIPMENT FOR BUOYS, OIL PLATFORMS, CHANNEL MARKERS, WINDFARMS AND OTHER OBSTRUCTION LIGHTS
CR Control Systems, Inc., (CR) of New Hampshire, U.S.A. has been awarded a patent on their highly efficient CRSE lens (CR Side Emitting).
The lens and heat sinking mounting system were designed under a development contract for a family of Self-Contained LED lanterns for the U.S. Coast Guard, and meets the strict horizontal and vertical profile uniformity requirements of USCG Specification G-SEC-503.
The specialty lens produces a 360° fan beam utilizing a single LED. This simple design allows for a small package size compared to systems using rings of LEDs. Higher light intensities can be obtained by stacking the lens/led systems.
It is molded of acrylic because this material is unaffected by UV radiation and is molded in a certified clean room to assure absolute clarity.
